If you want to get outside and make the most of your garden/outside space, a new BBC Northern Ireland series is here to plant the seeds of inspiration.
From luscious lawns to fabulous flowers, verdant veggie plots to beautiful back yards, the series aims to help viewers 'Get Up and Grow'. This new series is a high energy, no holds barred approach to transforming six local gardens. Rich with inspiration, guidance and all manner of horticultural ideas it's a series which cultivates enthusiasm for gardening, blending sound horticultural advice with a large dose of humour.
Presented by award-winning landscape architect Chris Beardshaw and Northern Ireland's very own property developer and landscape gardener Colin Donaldson, the expert duo are here to make some landscape and gardening dreams come true.
Whether it's increasing the 'kerb appeal' of your property by transforming an old or dull space or setting up your garden to 'get up and grow-your-own', Colin and Chris are on hand to help six people across Northern Ireland kick-start their outside spaces.
Get Up and Grow visits six properties around Northern Ireland including: Jordanstown, Islandmagee, Dromore in Co Tyrone, Bangor, Carrickfergus and Mallusk with the programme featuring two new properties each week. Chris and Colin are faced with a number of different challenges from transforming a dull front garden - complete with 1970s flagstones - into the welcome it should be, to taming a large area of open land into a wildlife haven and creating a romantic secret garden hideaway. And even if you're not an expert, the series gives viewers plenty of ideas about what you can do outside to improve the look, and maybe even the value, of your property.
